Workshops

The Community of Character works pro-actively to educate and encourage residents to live with good character.  We do this is a number of different ways, however workshops are a common involvement for the CoC! Check out a few examples of what we have been involved with!

Our knowledge exchange workshop is exactly what EMPATHY is all about - listening to the experiences of youth to identify ways that we can make our community more accepting and welcoming to youth and encourage them to be more engaged.

Each year, we offer a workshop to all grade 6 students in North Perth.  In June 2018,  Shannon Rose Scott brought yoga and meditation practices to the students and talked about how these skills can help people manage stress, anxiety and promote better mental health.  Photos of the Yoga Workshop

In May 2018, Ivey Business School professor Dr. Gerard Seijits spoke to the North Perth community about "Return on Character" - the research that shows that business leaders who exhibit positive character traits have more profitable businesses.  See his presentation HERE.

We are active on social media sharing stories and helpful tips on how you can incorporate positive character traits in to your life as well as sharing some of the benefits of living with good character.  Follow, Like, Share, ReTweet us!
